BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore outfielder Alex Dickerson has collected his first All-America recognition for the 2010 season, as the Poway, Calif., native was named a Louisville Slugger First Team All-American by College Baseball Newspaper.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Redshirt sophomore infielder Ethan Wilson and senior outfielder Michael Earley have been selected on day two of the Major League Baseball Draft. The Chicago White Sox selected both players, taking Wilson in the 25th round with the 758th overall pick and Earley in the 29th round, 878th overall.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Senior relief pitcher Chris Squires has been selected by the Florida Marlins on the third and final day of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. The Fort Wayne, Ind., native was chosen in the 37th round with the 1127th overall selection.

Johnson Collects Freshman All-America Honors

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indianapolis native Micah Johnson has been named a 2010 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, the publication announced. Johnson is the third Hoosier in as many years to collect Freshman All-America recognition.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Sophomore outfielder Alex Dickerson has been named the District V Player of the Year, the National College Baseball Writers of America announced today. Dickerson, who earned First Team All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper earlier this month, was recognized as the top player in the district that encompasses Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Indiana University sophomore outfielder Alex Dickerson, the Big Ten Player of the Year, was named to the U.S. national team. Dickerson is the first Big Ten player to make the cut since former Ohio State star and current New York Yankee Nick Swisher in 2001.
